I was scouting around in Pilsen, a neighborhood on Chicago's near south side, and I stumbled upon this long-abandoned underpass. It was gated and locked, so I had to shoot these images through an iron grate.

Since discovering that my favorite film stock -- Kodak Ultra Color -- has been discontinued, I decided to try out Fuji Reala. Overall, I wasn't happy with its colors. These two shots, though, made me happy.

I saw these clouds from my kitchen window at around 11am -- and noticed it was rapidly clearing to the west -- so I threw my Nikon FA over my shoulder and made a mad dash to the lakefront to snag this shot.
A slight chance of pace. My great-niece, Zoe Elizabeth. Seven days old and already bored with us all.
