I came out of the Henri Cartier-Bresson show at the Art Institute of Chicago and snapped this shot. I like to think Mr. Bresson inspired me.

Unconventional beauty in an ordinary spot.

I spend a lot of time admiring this tree; it's on the lakefront due east of my apartment.

Right after a torrential downpour I rushed out to the birdhouses (forcing me to take off my shoes and socks, roll up my pants and wade through the flooded underpass beneath Lakeshore Drive) and snapped this shot. The rainbow lasted for about 45 seconds.
