I came out of the Henri Cartier-Bresson show at the Art Institute of Chicago and snapped this shot. I like to think Mr. Bresson inspired me.

Right after a torrential downpour I rushed out to the birdhouses (forcing me to take off my shoes and socks, roll up my pants and wade through the flooded underpass beneath Lakeshore Drive) and snapped this shot. The rainbow lasted for about 45 seconds.

I don't know what this thing is, but I came across it on my way to take pictures of the birdhouses, which are about 100 years to the right.

No, I didn't move to the Everglades. This semi-swamp appeared this spring in the bird sanctuary along the Chicago lakefront.
